DOMO Engineering Plastics continues investing in CAPACITY & INNOVATION
Domo Engineering Plastics , a business unit of Domo Chemicals, is today a worldwide renown innovative producer of both virgin and sustainable PA6 and PA66 based compounds for wide variety of industries: automotive, electrical & electronics, building and furniture, industrial machines hydraulics and sport & leisure. Supported by its upstream polyamide 6 integration, DOMO EP has grown significantly in the last five years and is expanding globally both in terms of volumes and product mix.
After the opening of the DOMO Innovation Center in Mumbai India mid-2018, the company now announces a capacity expansion in its Premitz site, Germany, which will be operational by mid-2019. The total quantity annual capacity expansion will be about 20kt.

The investment is also a milestone in the company’s production and logistics digitalization,”says Marcel Müller, Plant Manager DOMO Engineering Plastics GmbH. “The new lean manufacturing structure will lead to higher service quality, flexibility and transparency for our clients”,he adds.
Focusing on sustainability and innovation, DOMO has specialized on developing pioneering solutions for its customers in het engineering plastic industry. Dealing with the trends such as e-mobility, autonomous driving and reduction of the carbon footprint, DOMO has developed a new package of LIGHT ENGINEERING SOLUTONS.
This includes not only new low density materials and composites sheets for metal and thermoset replacement, but also prototyping and simulation services to redesign and rethink applications.
“The automotive segment is one of our priorities. With this investment we are able to optimize our support to German OEM’s and Tier 1 suppliers ,” says Ludovic Tonnerre, Global Business Unit Manager.
